Forging a Path Toward a Cure for Chronic Inflammatory Diseases: Adapting to Change and Inspiring Progress

What you keep in mind in your work and research

I focus on challenges that seem hard to solve but would have a significant impact if addressed. Most importantly, I believe it is important that I and my team enjoy the process of solving these relevant and significant problems.

What do you think is necessary for researchers in the future

The world is evolving rapidly. If we stick too rigidly to fixed research goals or methods, we risk becoming out of touch with reality. Instead, it’s important to keep an open mindset and to develop and implement new and innovative approaches and ideas. While it’s essential to stay committed to your core research questions, I believe it is equally important to be flexible in your approach and open to new paths that allow addressing challenging questions. Also, I think it’s crucial to actively engage with researchers both in and outside our country. The best way to learn is to be guided by experts who has a deep understanding of the subject. Building relationships with a variety of researchers, directly asking them questions about relevant topics, and seeking their perspectives on your work are vital for personal and professional growth.
